Lotus Elise Campaign Development

As part of a new-business pitch to Lotus, our team developed a speculative launch campaign exploring how the Lotus Elise could be introduced to the U.S. market. The work was created to demonstrate strategic thinking, creative direction, and marketing opportunities surrounding the American debut of a vehicle celebrated for its lightweight engineering, precision handling, and driver-focused design.

My contributions included campaign development, presentation materials, advertising concepts, website proposals, promotional assets, and visual explorations designed to communicate the spirit of the Lotus brand. The resulting work showcased a range of creative approaches intended to generate excitement, build awareness, and position the Elise as a distinctive offering within the performance automotive market. The campaign helped secure the Lotus account and establish the creative foundation for its U.S. launch.

Lotus Brand History DVD

As part of a new-business pitch for the Lotus Elise launch, I designed the packaging, disc artwork, and supporting graphics for a promotional DVD highlighting the history, heritage, and engineering philosophy of the Lotus brand.

The project focused on translating Lotus’s racing legacy and brand story into a cohesive package design through the use of archival photography, typography, and brand imagery. The resulting artwork supported the broader launch presentation while demonstrating how brand heritage could be leveraged across promotional and marketing materials.

Communicating Strategy Through Design

Presentation design played an important role in shaping how campaign ideas were shared, evaluated, and approved. Created for Lotus leadership and stakeholders, this deck introduced launch concepts and strategic recommendations through a clear visual framework that reflected the brand’s performance heritage and aspirational positioning.

The result was a presentation experience that elevated the creative discussion while helping align decision-makers around a unified vision for the U.S. launch.

Website Design Concepts

A series of website concepts were developed to explore how the Lotus Elise could be introduced to American audiences through digital channels. The designs examined how performance imagery, vehicle information, and brand heritage might work together within an engaging online experience.

The concepts were created to communicate a potential digital direction for the brand, demonstrating how the Lotus story could be translated across web-based touchpoints while supporting broader marketing and launch objectives.

Advertising Campaigns

Created a series of speculative advertising concepts for a Lotus new-business presentation. Based on campaign directions developed by the Creative Director, my role included visual exploration, layout design, typography, image development, and production artwork.

The resulting concepts demonstrated potential creative approaches for communicating the personality and desirability of the Lotus Elise through print advertising and promotional marketing.

Unexpected Associations
Used an ordinary object to create a memorable moment of discovery, encouraging viewers to engage with the campaign message through visual storytelling rather than traditional product claims.

Freedom & Escape
Leveraged familiar cultural cues to reinforce themes of freedom, independence, and the thrill of the open road through a simple conceptual execution.

Anticipation & Desire
A visual metaphor exploring anticipation and aspiration, using humor and restraint to create an unexpected connection to the Lotus ownership experience.

“What Would You Give Up to Own One?”

Based on a campaign concept developed by the Creative Director, I was responsible for the visual development and execution of this advertising series. The creative explored the passion and aspiration associated with owning a Lotus Elise through provocative imagery, visual metaphors, and unexpected scenarios.

My role included image development, layout design, typography and production, translating the campaign concept into a series of advertisements that emphasized emotion and desire rather than traditional automotive performance messaging.
