Entertainment Design Campaigns

Home Entertainment Packaging & Retail Marketing

During my years in the entertainment industry, I created packaging and promotional campaigns for film and television releases distributed through major retail and home entertainment channels. From DVD packaging and sell sheets to launch materials and retail marketing programs, each project was designed to capture the essence of the story while creating a compelling consumer experience.

The work combined cinematic storytelling, typography, image compositing, and production expertise to transform entertainment properties into highly marketable products that stood out on shelf and supported successful retail launches.

Entertainment Portfolio Showcase

Developed promotional materials for Universal that highlighted a diverse collection of television properties within a single, cohesive presentation. The challenge was to create a visual framework that could accommodate multiple genres, audiences, and show identities while maintaining a clear and engaging narrative.

Through thoughtful organization, typography, and image selection, the brochure transformed a large content portfolio into an accessible marketing tool designed to support sales, retailer presentations, and promotional initiatives. The result was a polished piece that balanced individual show recognition with the strength of the broader Universal Television brand.

Reimagining Legacy Entertainment Properties

Home entertainment packaging often requires balancing the recognition of an established title with the need to attract new audiences. For Death and the Maiden, I redesigned the existing DVD packaging to create a more contemporary and compelling visual presentation while preserving the tone and dramatic tension of the film.

Through updated typography, imagery, and composition, the refreshed artwork modernized the release for the marketplace and strengthened its shelf presence.

The result was a more engaging package design that honored the original property while providing a renewed visual identity for retail distribution.

Entertainment Packaging Design

DVD packaging served as both a storytelling vehicle and a marketing tool, requiring a careful balance of creative expression and commercial appeal. Each release was designed to communicate the tone, genre, and key selling points of the film while capturing attention in a highly competitive retail environment.

From front-cover concept development to back-panel information design, the packaging integrated key art, typography, photography, technical specifications, and promotional messaging into a cohesive consumer experience.

Every element was thoughtfully considered to strengthen shelf presence while supporting the overall marketing strategy for the release.

Film Sales & Marketing Materials

Developed sales collateral to support the retail launch and distribution of Abandon. Designed for buyers, distributors, and promotional partners, these materials distilled key marketing messages, artwork, and film highlights into a clear and compelling presentation.

Through thoughtful layout, typography, and visual hierarchy, the materials extended the film’s brand identity while providing the information needed to support sales, promotion, and placement within the home entertainment marketplace.

Film Campaign Design

Developed DVD packaging and supporting marketing materials for The Italian Job, creating a cohesive visual campaign that translated the film’s high-energy action, ensemble cast, and distinctive style into a compelling consumer product.

Packaging, promotional assets, and retail materials were designed to work together as a unified campaign, leveraging key art, typography, and cinematic imagery to reinforce the film’s identity across multiple channels.

The result was a strong retail presence that captured the excitement of the theatrical release while supporting its transition into the home entertainment market.

Celebrating Music’s Biggest Night

Developed CD packaging and sleeve artwork for the 2003 Grammy Nominees release, bringing together a diverse collection of artists and genres within a unified visual identity. The design needed to balance broad commercial appeal with the prestige and recognition associated with one of the music industry’s most celebrated events.

Through the integration of photography, typography, and brand elements, the packaging created a polished and recognizable presence that reflected the significance of the Grammy Awards while supporting retail promotion and consumer engagement.
